# Hosting a validator node

Choose how you want to run your validator when tokens launch (TGE). Autheo supports both self-hosting and managed “1-Click” hosting through trusted partners.

## Options

**Self-host**

* Autheo will publish detailed server specs, install steps, hardening tips, and ongoing ops guides.
* You control infrastructure, keys, monitoring, and uptime.

**Managed “1-click” hosting**

* Deploy with approved providers (e.g., InfStones, Zeeve).
* Typical monthly cost per Sovereign node: $200-$350 depending on provider and region.
* Costs may scale by license size: Prime ≈ $35/month, Core ≈ $5/month (provider pricing may vary).
* 24/7 monitoring and support included from the provider.

## Activation

* Nodes are provisioned and activated at TGE.
* If you select managed hosting, you'll connect your wallet and choose a provider during onboarding.
* If you select self-host, you'll receive the docs and images needed to bring your node online.

## Compliance

* KYC will be required in some jurisdictions and/or for specific node types.
* Final KYC rules and supported regions will be posted before TGE.

## FAQs

### When do I choose hosting?

During onboarding. You can choose providers through the [1-Click Node Deployment Platform](/web-apps/validator-portal/deploying-a-node).

### Why go with a hosting provider?

Downtime reduces participation and may affect emissions. Our managed providers have 99.999 uptime, which includes monitoring and alerting; self-hosters should implement the recommended telemetry and paging setup.

### Are monthly fees paid to Autheo?

No. Hosting fees are paid directly to the third-party provider. Autheo does not markup hosting.

### Is there a contract term with providers?

Month-to-month in most cases; check the provider's terms.

### What hardware do I need to self-host?

Final specs will be published before TGE, including CPU/RAM/disk, network, OS, NTP, and optional HSM/remote signer configurations.

### Do prime/core licenses need separate servers?

Managed hosts consolidate fractional licenses. Self-host guidance will explain options for fractional operation or delegation.
